I Joined the WUNH family in 2001 when The Pickin' Parlor host asked if I could help out with his show.I love the Bluegrass and am grateful to Scott for getting me into a position on the WUNH staff. I helped with the Pickin' Parlor for Seven years plus and am always grateful to sub for someone when that DJ can not be on their show.I Started the SJSI show in 2003 for the love of Classic Country and the opportunity to get my loved Country Music on-air.The origins of the Name: Stump Jumper's Sit-In comes from a long defunct radio station in Washington, DC. When I was a young man, serving in the US Navy, stationed in DC, I heard a wonderful mix of Classic Country, Western, Western Swing, Bluegrass, Folk, Rockabilly, Cajun, etc. on the College radio out of Georgetown University, WGTB and the Hosts Tex Rollett and Greg Barrett called their three hour show The Stump Jumper's Sit-In.As the show was my all time favorite, and after checking to see if it was still on-air, then finding the station WGTB no longer there, I launched the WUNH version of the SJSI in late Fall of 2003. The response to the music has been extremely satisfying and the fan base has grown vastly. This is shown by the regulars and new-comers that contribute annually on our fund raising Marathon (Thanks from the bottom of my heart).I am a Patriot of my Country, the United States of America, and proudly served in the US Navy from 1972 to 1978 as a Photographer's Mate Second Class (PH-2), I like to honor my Country on Patriotic Holidays with music about the freedoms of our great country and the men and women that protect and have protected our great way of life. In the words of Merle Haggard: "If You Don't Love It, Leave It!"I worked many jobs over the years, such as printer, photographer, machinist, motorcycle technician, sign hanger, and as a weapon's handler/firearms Instructor.I always find time to do my show and help WUNH DJ's with their shows when I can. I love WUNH.If anyone wants to get in touch besides the Studio telephone 603-862-2222, e-mail me at
